Interesting from a public-relations / getting attention standpoint
From live ladybugs to a one-ton gun safe, Amazon's desire to sell everything under the sun knows few bounds — except for new cars, which thanks to a briar patch of federal and state laws may only be sold in most states by franchised dealers. That didn't stop the company from making a special delivery today of what's likely its largest package yet, albeit with a little marketing help from Nissan.
As part of a promotion for the
Nissan Versa Note, Nissan revealed in September that three shoppers who bought their cars through a promotional link on Amazon would get their Versa Notes in one of Amazon's traditional brown boxes, along with a film crew to record the moment for publicity.
